Vinted favourites but no sales: what to do

Ten hearts, no sale: frustrating, but good news. Your listing is being seen, and people like it. It just needs a nudge. Here's how to give it one.

What a favourite really means

A favourite is a bookmark. The buyer is comparing, waiting for payday, hoping for a price drop, or unsure about the size. Lots of favourites and no offers: the item appeals, something is holding them back. Three things come up almost every time.

Blocker 1: doubt about size or condition

Re-read your description as a buyer. Are the flat measurements there? Are the flaws shown? One doubt is enough to put the purchase off. Add measurements and a photo of the label: that's often all that was missing.

Blocker 2: the price is just a little too high

Favourites with no messages is the classic sign of a price 10-15% above what the buyer wants to pay. A small drop is enough, and it has an effect many sellers miss: Vinted notifies members who favourited the item when its price goes down. Depending on your account, you can also send them an offer straight from the listing.

Blocker 3: postage

A £4 item with the same again in postage won't sell on its own. Offer it in a bundle: switch on bundle discounts in your settings and mention it in the description. More in bundle or single items.

What not to do

  • Message everyone who favourited: it feels like pestering, and it gets reported;
  • Cut 50% in one go: you lose your haggling room — see handling offers;
  • Delete and relist: you lose exactly the favourites that were about to buy.

The right sequence

Complete the listing (measurements, flaws, keywords), wait three or four days, then lower the price one notch. If favourites keep climbing with no sale, the blocker is in the text: see the settings that help you sell faster.
