How to sell faster on Vinted
An item that doesn't sell on Vinted is rarely a matter of luck. In most cases the listing isn't being found, or it doesn't reassure, or the price isn't right. Here are the levers you control, in the order they matter.
1. Photos that make people want it
The first photo gets the click. Daylight, a plain background, the item ironed and laid flat or worn. Then: the back, the brand and size label, the care label, the details, and every flaw up close. A buyer who can see everything buys without asking questions.
2. A title and description that search can find
The title says the essentials in the buyer's own words: item type, brand, colour, size. The description gives the condition, measurements and fabric — follow the Vinted description template — and ends with the right hashtags, which widen the searches your listing shows up in.
3. The right price from the start
Look at what comparable items actually go for — same brand, same condition — rather than the prices on listings that aren't selling. Leave a little room for offers, and if nothing moves after two or three weeks, drop the price in steps rather than waiting.
4. Good timing and consistency
List just ahead of the season: coats from September, summer dresses in spring. Upload regularly rather than all at once, reply quickly to messages and offers, and post promptly: the good reviews that follow reassure the next buyers.
5. Save time: AI writes, you publish
What slows you down most is the time spent on each listing. FriShot removes it: you take the photos, the AI writes the title, description and hashtags and suggests a price. You check it and publish. Try it without signing up or see the Vinted listing generator.
Frequently asked questions
Why aren't my items selling on Vinted?
Usually for one of three reasons: the listing isn't being found (vague title, no keywords), it doesn't reassure (dark photos, empty description), or the price is above what buyers actually pay for a comparable item.
When is the best time to list on Vinted?
When your buyers are online, often evenings and weekends, and above all at the start of the item's season: a coat sells better in October than in March.
Should I drop the price when an item isn't selling?
Check the photos and the title first. If the listing is good and nothing moves after two or three weeks, dropping the price in steps gets it going again.
