Vinted photos: how many to add and in what order
On Vinted, buyers judge the main photo first, then swipe through the rest to check condition, size and fabric. Here is how many photos to add, in what order, how to get them right with just a phone — and what to avoid.
How many photos can you add on Vinted?
Vinted accepts up to 20 photos per listing. For a simple garment, four to six well-chosen photos are enough; for shoes, bags or branded pieces, go further: soles, stitching, serial number, lining. The rule: every question a buyer might ask should already have its photo.
The photo order that reassures buyers
- Full view, flat-lay or on a hanger: this is the thumbnail shown in search results;
- the back of the item;
- the brand and size label;
- the care/composition label;
- a fabric close-up (knit, denim, leather);
- every flaw, clearly visible.
Showing a flaw prevents the “not as described” dispute: the buyer saw it before buying.
Light and background: gear doesn't matter
- Daylight, near a window, no flash: colours stay true;
- a neutral background — light floor, plain sheet, white door — and always the same one, for a consistent wardrobe;
- the whole item in frame, smoothed out, nothing around it;
- sharp photos: wipe your phone lens before you start.
AI-generated, heavily edited or downloaded photos: avoid them
Vinted's rules ask for photos of the actual item being sold. A shop photo, an AI-generated image or an edit that changes the colour can get the listing reported and lead to a dispute on delivery. Cropping or straightening a photo is fine; changing what the buyer will receive is not.
From your photos to the listing
The same photos are used to write the listing. FriShot reads them — labels included — and produces the title, description, hashtags, a price range and the Vinted form fields. The standard analysis reads 4 photos, the expert one 10, the complete one 20. FriShot never generates or edits a photo: you can only crop and rotate them in the app. Try it without signing up or see how to write a good Vinted description.
Frequently asked questions
How many photos can you put on Vinted?
Up to 20 photos per listing. Four to six are enough for a simple garment; more for shoes, bags and branded pieces.
Which photo should come first on Vinted?
A full view of the item, flat-lay or on a hanger, on a neutral background in daylight: it's the one shown in search results.
Can you use AI-generated photos on Vinted?
Best avoided: the buyer must see the actual item being sold. A generated or heavily edited image can get the listing reported and lead to a dispute. Cropping or straightening a photo is fine.
