Selling kids' clothes on Vinted: tips that work
Kids' clothes sell well on Vinted — they're worn for three months and parents know it. But at a couple of pounds an item, postage eats everything. The method isn't the same as for an adult wardrobe.
Sell in bundles, by size
A single bodysuit won't sell: postage costs as much as it does. A "6-9 months winter bundle, 8 items" goes quickly, because it solves a problem in one go. Group by size and season, never at random. Keep the nicer branded pieces, coats, snowsuits and shoes as single listings.
The title parents actually type
A parent searches for a size first. Put it up front, in plain words: "Boys 6-9 months winter bundle — 8 items Next, M&S". Type, size, season, brands. Skip "so cute": nobody types it. The formula is in our Vinted title guide.
Photos that show the whole bundle
- A first photo of the full bundle, flat and neatly laid out;
- Then items in twos or threes, plus the size labels;
- Stains and bobbling in close-up — with children's clothes buyers expect some, but they want to know before.
List a season ahead
Parents plan ahead: they buy the next size before they need it. Snowsuits and coats are searched from October, party outfits in November, summer clothes from March. A winter bundle listed in February will wait ten months.
Pricing a bundle
Start from what you'd charge item by item, then take off a clear discount: the bundle should be a no-brainer. For branded pieces sold on their own, look at comparable listings — the method is in how to price your items.
Saving time on the sort-out
A bag of outgrown clothes means twenty listings to write. With FriShot, you photograph the items one after another and the listings come out at the end, each with its title, description and suggested price. See how it works.
