Vinted disputes: kill them before they exist

A dispute, even won, is expensive: time, a blocked payout, sometimes a revenge review. The good news: almost every dispute is decided BEFORE the sale, inside the listing itself.

A shown flaw never gets refunded

Bobble, tiny stain, pulled thread: photograph it up close and name it in the description ("small light stain bottom right, see photo 5"). A buyer who buys knowingly has no recourse — one who discovers the flaw while unboxing is always right.

Measurements kill "too small"

The label size isn't enough: a 90s M fits like today's S. Measure flat, pit to pit and length, and put both in the description. "Size M, 52 cm across": the sizing dispute becomes impossible.

Packaging is part of the listing

  • Plastic sleeve against rain, always — a soaked parcel is a guaranteed dispute;
  • Photograph the packed parcel for higher-value pieces: proof of condition at dispatch;
  • Ship within 2-3 days: a lingering parcel is a worrying buyer, and worried buyers open claims.

The through-line: radical honesty in the listing isn't commercial naivety — it's the best dispute insurance there is.

For tracking, Fripilot (from the makers of FriShot) spots parcels left waiting at a pick-up point and returns you need to collect, before the holding period runs out.
