Back to school: what to list on Vinted in late August
The right time to sell a coat isn't when it's cold: it's when buyers start thinking about it. And they think earlier than you'd expect — in sales data, the autumn switch starts in late July.
List these now
- Light jackets and coats: trench, bombers, denim — demand doubles between late July and late August;
- The entire kids' section: back-to-school is THE peak of the year (school bags, trainers, trousers) — parents buy ahead;
- Jeans and trousers: September's safe bet;
- Light jumpers and sweatshirts: the evening layer sells before heavy knits.
Let these sleep (or clear them out)
Summer dresses, shorts, swimwear: their season is over. Either discount them now for space and cash, or store them until March — a soft in-between does nothing.
The smart seller's calendar
Simple rule: list one month ahead of the season. Heavy knits and puffers in September-October, ski gear in November, and summer again… from February. That winter stock you bought at summer car boot sales starts working now.
