Selling in bundles or per item? Do the maths
"Should I sell everything as a bundle or piece by piece?" — the question comes up constantly, and the answer is arithmetic, not preference.
The real cost of a listing
Every item sold separately costs you: photos, writing, questions, packing, drop-off. If the item is worth £3, you're working below minimum wage. If it's worth £20, the individual listing pays for itself fast.
The £7 rule
- Under £7 per item: bundle — baby bodysuits, basic tees, kids' clothes by size. "10-piece bundle, 18-24 months" sells better than ten £2 listings;
- Over £13 per item: individually, always — each piece deserves its own title and keywords;
- In between: individually in season, bundled to clear at season's end.
Bundles that work
A good bundle is coherent: same size, same style or same brand. "6 Zara tops bundle, size S" attracts a specific buyer; "mixed clothes bundle" attracts no one. Photograph the flat-lay plus each piece, and list the contents in the description — that's what search will index.
