How to price your Vinted item: the simple method
Pricing is the hardest decision — and the one most sellers make by gut feeling. Here's a three-step method.
1. Look at what SOLD, not what's listed
Live listings are... the unsold ones. Copying their prices means copying what doesn't work (survivorship bias). Search your item, filter by brand and condition, and spot recent listings that vanished: that's the real market price.
2. Think in brackets, not a single price
- Patient price: the top of the bracket, if you're in no hurry;
- Fair price: what buyers actually pay — your default target;
- Quick-sale price: the bottom, to sell within a week.
Tip: list 10-15% above your fair price. Vinted buyers almost always negotiate — leave them that margin and everyone walks away happy.
3. Drop in small steps
An item with no views after two weeks deserves -10%, not -50%. Price drops notify everyone who favourited the item: your best free re-engagement lever.
To go further, Friprix estimates an item's price bracket from a photo — and Frishot suggests it automatically on every generated listing.
