Photographing your clothes to sell faster on Vinted

Vinted buyers scroll fast: your photo has less than a second to stop them. Good news — you don't need gear. A phone and three habits are enough.

Light first

Shoot near a window, in daylight, no flash. Natural light keeps colours honest — and honest colours mean fewer "not as described" disputes. Avoid warm ceiling lights at night: a cream jumper turns mustard.

A neutral background — always the same one

Light floor, plain sheet or a hanger on a white door. A consistent background makes your whole wardrobe look professional when buyers open your profile — and they do look before making an offer.

The angles that sell

• Full view flat-lay or on a hanger — your main photo;
• Brand and size labels — they reassure and prevent questions;
• Fabric close-up (knit, denim, leather);
• Every flaw, honestly: a shown bobble never gets refunded, a hidden one often does.

Four to six photos per item is the sweet spot. If the composition label is readable, shoot it too: the exact fabric helps your listing surface in Vinted's filters.
